Heat Pumps
Reliable, highly efficient and economical to run, heat pumps extract heat from the air (similar to a reverse cycle air conditioner), and use that heat to produce hot water.
Compared to gas and electric, heat pumps use just a fraction of the energy to generate the same amount of heat. Although initially heat pumps take longer than gas heaters to warm up the pool or spa water, they are much more economical and will then maintain the heating as well as gas heaters.
Benefits of heat pumps include their high energy efficiency and lower running costs. As a guide, you can save up to 80% over LPG and 50% over natural gas fuelled heaters. And the best thing about heat pump pool heaters is that they operate regardless of the weather.
One of the disadvantages of this type of system is that they can lose their high energy efficiency slightly once the weather really cools down, as the pump has to work harder to heat the water against the outside temperature. However, unless you live in an area that does experience very low winter temperature, this is not a concern
Another thing to consider is they can be expensive to initially install, but the low running costs will make up for this in no time at all.

Electroheat Heat Pumps
The Electroheat MKIV has been designed with ease of use and maintenance firmly in mind. For example, the LED control panel features a continuous digital temperature display and incorporates a self diagnosis system. In the event of a problem, the control panel will display diagnostic error codes.
It has been built with ozone friendly R410A refrigerant, described as the refrigerant of the future, which has dual benefits. Not only is it kinder to the environment, but it also improves the heat pump’s performance.

MultiCyclone centrifugal filters
Waterco’s award-winning MultiCyclone technology uses the most advanced hydro cyclone technology to ensure high water quality and clarity.
An Australian innovation, the MultiCyclone is a pre-filtration device, which is designed to capture up to 80 per cent of the incoming dirt load prior to the main filter, which then significantly reduces filter maintenance and saves backwash water – not to mention improving water circulation.
Waterco’s MultiCyclone PRO has been specially created for the water treatment sector and has a pressure rating of 690 kPa.
MultiCyclone PRO operates by using centrifugal filtration; incoming water enters 16 hydro cyclones tangentially, generating a strong centrifugal effect. This process draws the unfiltered water into its spinning chamber, which sends sediment to the wall, leaving clean water in the centre. The filtered water then migrates towards the centre of the hydro cyclone, where the flow reverses and spirals upwards through the outlet. Accumulation of sediment can be visibly monitored through the MultiCyclone’s clear sediment chamber.
A MultiCyclone can cut 80 per cent of the dirt that clogs a filter, and it eliminates backwash by up to 40 per cent, extending the life of a filter. The MultiCyclone is also designed to reduce filter maintenance, with no moving parts or media that need to be cleaned or replaced. The installation of a MultiCyclone as a pre-filter to a cartridge filter can reduce filter cartridge cleaning and replacement.
Another major benefit of the system is that only 15 litres of water is required to clean it. Plus it’s easily cleaned by simply opening the purge valve.
The MultiCyclone has been utilised in a vast array of applications from cooling water, water features, aquaculture, koi ponds, aquariums, car and truck wash down water recycling to commercial water filtration.
